Path Tracer Mail Beta

One window for mail, your calendar and your calls.

A native Mac app for Gmail and Google Workspace accounts. It talks to Google directly from your Mac; there is no server of ours in between.

What it does

Mail

Read, search and filter your Gmail inbox. Reply, save drafts and send. Deleting moves a message to Gmail's Bin; nothing is deleted permanently.

Remote images load only when you ask. Links are checked before they open, and attachments open with macOS's own safety checks.

Calendar and Meet

Your agenda sits beside your mail. Decline an invitation, invite guests, create an event with a Google Meet link, and join calls in the same window.

Drive

Browse and search your Google Drive, open documents, and attach a file to an email. Read-only: the app never changes or deletes anything in your Drive.

The assistant Beta

Open an email and ask: “summarise this”, “what do they need from me?”, “draft a reply saying Thursday works”. It works on the thread you have open, on Apple's on-device model.

A reply is shown to you first and saved as a draft only when you confirm. It never sends. Passwords, codes and sign-in links are hidden from it.

A real Mac app

Dock, Cmd-Tab, full screen and Spaces. Cmd + and Cmd − resize the text of whichever column the pointer is over.

Yours to disconnect

Disconnect revokes the app's access at Google and deletes everything it stored for that account on your Mac.

System requirements

The appA Mac with macOS 13 Ventura or later (Apple silicon or Intel), and a Google account: Gmail or Google Workspace.
The assistantA Mac with Apple silicon, macOS 26 or later, and Apple Intelligence turned on, in a language Apple Intelligence supports. Without these the rest of the app works fully; the assistant simply isn't offered.
Voice inputOn-device speech recognition for your language (macOS downloads it when needed).

Questions

How do I get it?

Path Tracer Mail is in a free beta and is not on the Mac App Store yet. Write to support@pathtracertechnologies.com to ask for the beta.

Which accounts does it work with?

Gmail and Google Workspace accounts. On Workspace, your administrator may need to allow the app. It does not work with other mail providers.

Where is my mail stored?

In your Google account, as always. The app keeps a copy of your recent mail (about the last 60 days) on your Mac so it is fast and works offline. That copy is readable only by your user account, and Disconnect deletes it.

Does the assistant send my mail to a cloud AI?

No. It uses Apple's on-device model, built into macOS as part of Apple Intelligence. The app does not use Apple's Private Cloud Compute or any other server-based model.

Can the assistant read my whole mailbox, or send email?

No. In the beta it works only on the email thread you have open, and only when you ask. The one thing it can create is a draft reply, which you see first and which is saved only if you confirm.

Why does Google's sign-in screen say “Path Tracer”?

The Path Tracer apps share one sign-in with Google, and that is the name Google shows. Mail, calendar and Drive are separate permissions, so you can grant or revoke each one on its own.

Do you track anything?

No. The app has no analytics, no advertising code and no crash reporting to us. Read the privacy overview or the full Privacy Policy.

How do I remove it?

Disconnect your account in the app, then run the uninstaller that comes with it. The steps are on the Support page.
